Lesiones benignas que simulan carcinomas basocelulares

Resumen

Algunas lesiones benignas que se originan en el folículo piloso pueden simular un carcinoma basocelular. Son un grupo complejo de entidades que requieren un conocimiento profundo de la anatomía folicular y de las lesiones benignas respectivas originadas de las diferentes estructuras epiteliales que forman el folículo. La inmunohistoquímica con citoqueratina 20 ha emergido como una herramienta importante en el diagnóstico.
En los cinco casos presentados revisaremos algunos de los aspectos clínicos e histológicos más importantes.
