Abstract

The tuberculous gumma is a rare cutaneous manifestation of tuberculosis that occurs as a result of hematogenous spread. The microbiological isolation of the organism may be difficult, so in the setting of a very suspicious case in the absence of microbiological confirmation, we suggest to start empirical antimicrobiological therapy and to assess the answer to it.

We report a case of tuberculosis gumma as a cutaneous manifestation of disseminated tuberculosis with pulmonary and bone involvement, with an adequate response to tuberculosis treatment.
