Mini-injertos: Una solución simple para el problema de las leucodermias estables
Resumen
El tratamiento de las leucodermias estables es difícil y poco prometedor cuando se emplean alternativas de terapia tópica o sistémica, con el propósito de estimular el reservorio de melanocitos. La causa más probable de esta falla radica en la destrucción de todas las células pigmentarias en la zona acrómica incluyendo las del reservorio del bulbo piloso. La única opción para repoblar la epidermis con melanocitos es el transplante de nuevas células pigmentarias. La técnica más sencilla para lograr este objetivo, es la del mini-injerto dermoepidérmico, la cual se revisa, con particular énfasis en la selección del paciente, los tipos de leucodermia susceptibles de ser tratados, instrumentos y procedimiento más apropiados y posibles complicaciones.
