Resumen

El liquen plano (LP) es una patología que compromete piel, mucosas, pelo y uñas. Presenta una amplia variedad de manifestaciones clínicas, y conlleva diversas formas de manejo terapéutico. Aunque tiene un carácter autorresolutivo genera alta morbilidad. Algunos casos pueden evolucionar a carcinoma espinocelular.

Se hace una revisión del tema, con énfasis en las variantes clínicas y en las alternativas de tratamiento.
