Resumen

La infección por el virus de la hepatitis C (VHC) es una epidemia mundial importante, causada por un virus RNA que produce tres tipos de péptidos que lo conforman y garantizan su variabilidad. La forma principal de adquisición es a través del uso de drogas endovenosas ilícitas. Sus manifestaciones son hepáticas y extrahepáticas. Las cutáneas hacen parte de las extrahepáticas y, aunque frecuentes, son poco detectadas. Estas señales de infección por el VHC se pueden clasificar en asociaciones demostradas, asociaciones probables, asociaciones con casos esporádicos, y asociación con el tratamiento para VHC.
