Abstract

Rosai-Dorfman Disease,or sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy,is a chronic histiocytic spreading disorder with a benign process which in the majority of the cases has a tendency to spontaneous regression. The etiology is still unknown. It may affect both genders but it is predominant on men at their first and second decades of life. Even though it is characterized by a lymph node condition, it also compromises other organs such as skin, respiratory tract, urinary system, bones and the central nervous system. Skin injuries are generally numerous and unspecified. A male patient is introduced with Rosai-Dorman disease presenting bilateral cervical lymph nodes, elbow and ankle arthralgia and erythematic tumors on face. He was treated with intra-lesion corticosteroids and systemics with favorable evolution.
