Abstract

This article was presented in the Dermatology Resident Summit, last August in Paipa, where schools from all over the country were present. The article reflects on the role of dermatologists and dermatology professors in Colombia. It questions the role that professors and dermatology specialists might play in a complex society, where guerilla, paramilitarism, inequality, discrimination and many other social and political phenomena take place. It depicts real commitment to the professional life without making any kind of distinctions.
