Abstract

Cutaneous T cell lymphoma is part of the chronic lymphocytic neoplasms and could affect skin and some other organs. The subcutaneous form (panniculitis) comprises only 1% of cases and the presentation is variable. We present the case of a 16-year-old woman with a 1 year history of intermittent fever, weight loss, sweating and indurated skin lesions. At the physical examination she presents diffuse, hard and erythematous nodules on trunk, thighs and forearms. With these findings skin biopsy is taken for histological studies, immunohistochemistry and molecular analysis, reporting subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma. Associated with that, the patient presents criteria for hemophagocytic syndrome, so begins polychemotherapy management with improved disease.
