Abstract

Calcifying aponeurotic fibroma is part of the group of the soft tissue benign tumors fibroblasts/myofibroblasts derived, of unknown cause and unusual presentation which typically occurs in the first or second decade of life. Its usual location, in 90% of cases, is at distal extremities. We report a case of calcifying aponeurotic fibroma in the sole of the right foot at a 31year old patient treated at the Simón Bolívar hospital in Bogota.
