Abstract

Mycobacterium avium intracellulare (MAC) is one of the mycobacterias most frequently found in patients with HIV infection, but their frequency is decreasing and has been associated to active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) and prophylactic antibiotic use. Skin involvement is very rare but has been described as papules, ulcers and verrucous plaques. A case is reported in a inmunossupressed patient with a unique skin lesion by Mycobacterium avium intracellulare.
