La aplicación de la anestesia tumescente en cirugía dermatológica oncológica es la primera vez que se realiza en Colombia y hasta donde pudimos investigar (con los recursos disponibles en nuestro medio), no existen antecedentes de experiencias sinúlares publicadas en la literatura mundial. Se presentan las observaciones realizadas en 86 pacientes con cáncer de piel, intervenidos con anestesia tumescente, en el I.N.C. de Colombia, resaltando la utilidad de esta nueva anestesia en la cirugía dermatológica oncológica.
