Abstract

Elephantiasis nostras verrucosa is an uncommon chronic entity characterized by fibrosis and deformity of the affected area. It is caused by chronic lymphedema that could be congenital or produced by a nonfilarial infection, surgery, radiotherapy, neoplastic obstruction, obesity or trauma. Depending on the severity and the cause, the treatment can be medical or surgical. We report an elephantiasis nostras verrucosa case succesfully treated with topical tazarotene and conservative measures.
