Abstract

Among the cutaneous lichen planus, the linear zosteriform subtype is included in those with a lower frequency of appearance; therefore, the report of its clinical form confirmed by the result of pathology of this inflammatory entity should be taken into account as a differential diagnosis of other pathological conditions that can adopt this pattern of distribution.
We present the case of a female patient in the fourth decade of life with a 5-week history of appearance of highly pruritic, lichenoid-looking skin lesions, who underwent histopathological confirmation of the suspected clinical diagnosis, and we also observed significant clinical improvement to high potency steroid treatment We present the case of a female patient in the fourth decade of life with a 5-week history of appearance of highly pruritic, lichenoid-looking skin lesions who underwent histopathological confirmation of the suspected clinical diagnosis, and we also observed significant clinical improvement to high potency steroid treatment.
