Angiosarcoma is a rare and aggressive tumor derived from endothelial cells of blood vessels, it has a poor prognosis and its 5-year survival is very low; the most common location is the scalp or face of white men. It is characterized by the appearance of purpuric macules and plaques with poorly defined borders that bleed easily and can progress to nodules and ulcerated tumors.
The only curative therapeutic modality is complete surgical resection, although radiotherapy and chemotherapy are also used.
