Marjolin's ulcer is a malignant skin neoplasm that develops on scar tissue, mainly on burn injury. The latency period between the initial lesion and neoplasia is between 30-35 years. Squamous cell carcinoma is the most frequently reported. Clinically, two forms have been described: infiltrated and indurated ulcers or exophytic lesions. They are most often located in the lower extremities. The lesions are aggressive and carry a poor prognosis with a high recurrence rate. Treatment is surgical excision. Radiation therapy is indicated in patients with inoperable lymph node metastases. We present the case of a 38-year-old man with a history of childhood burns and subsequent development of squamous cell carcinoma.
