Abstract

A 3 year old boy, with a 7 month history of scaly asymptomatic plaques in the scalp and a mycological study compatible with Trichophyton tonsurans is presented.
This case is an example of the geographical etiologic variation of tinea capitis and the importance of a complete mycological exam for a proper diagnosis and treatment
