Abstract

The elephantiasis nostras verrucosa is a rare dermatological condition that presents as a complication of chronic non-filarial lymphedema, which rarely is due to a primary cause. Its deforming and malignant potential significantly reduces the quality of life of the patient, so it is extremely important to ensure that these patients receive optimal and timely medical management to avoid the progression of lymphedema to advanced and irreversible stages, such as the one we present.
