I present the case of a medical investor in a drug production company who was questioned by the Medical Ethics Court for having formulated products that were sold only in the pharmacy of which the doctor is a shareholder. Additionally the medications were of moderate and high cost and the physician refused to change the formulation, at the request of the patient, for products included in the Colombian social security protocols and widely available in the health system.
