Abstract

Some benign lesions stemmed from hair follicle seemed like basal- cell carcinoma. They are complex entities which generally require important knowledge of the follicle anatomy and of the benign lesions – these derived from the proliferation of the different epitheliums that form the hair follicle. The inmunohistochemistry with cytoqueratin 20 has emerged like an important help in the diagnosis.
In these five cases, some of the most relevant aspects are analyzed using known clinic and histological lesions.
