Barrera epidérmica

La piel cumple una función muy importante de barrera; el estrato córneo no sólo protege al organismo contra la pérdida de agua, sino que también impide el ingreso de microorganismos y toxinas del medio ambiente, y las capas más profundas de la piel nos protegen de diferentes fuerzas mecánicas, de la luz ultravioleta (UV) y de las corrientes de bajo voltaje. El objetivo básico de este trabajo es revisar el papel de los lípidos como componentes primordiales de la barrera epidérmica.
