Papulosis Bowenoide

Resumen

La papulosis bowenoide es una enfermedad de transmisión principalmente sexual, producida por subtipos de papilomavirus humano (PVH) de alto potencial oncogénico. Se presenta en adultos jó­venes, su principal diagnóstico clínico diferencial es el condiloma acuminado, e histológico es la enfermedad de Bowen. Es una entidad que debe ser adecuadamente diag­nosticada, tratada y seguida, pues a pesar de su compor­tamiento usualmente benigno, presenta todas las caracte­rísticas histológicas de un cáncer in situ, con un pequeño potencial de invasión especialmente en pacientes inmuno­comprometidos, e importante asociación con cánceres de cuello uterino.
