Papulosis Bowenoide

La papulosis bowenoide es una enfermedad de transmisión principalmente sexual, producida por subtipos de papilomavirus humano (PVH) de alto potencial oncogénico. Se presenta en adultos jóvenes, su principal diagnóstico clínico diferencial es el condiloma acuminado, e histológico es la enfermedad de Bowen. Es una entidad que debe ser adecuadamente diagnosticada, tratada y seguida, pues a pesar de su comportamiento usualmente benigno, presenta todas las características histológicas de un cáncer in situ, con un pequeño potencial de invasión especialmente en pacientes inmunocomprometidos, e importante asociación con cánceres de cuello uterino.
