Abstract

Microscopic polyangiitis is an idiopathic autoimmune disease characterized by systemic necrotizing vasculitis, nongranulomatous of small or medium vessels associated with the presence of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (Anti -Neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibodies, ANCA) with renal and lung tropism.

This is a case report of a patient of 28 years with poly-arthralgia, asthenia, adynamia and ulcers on the hands and legs of three months of evolution.

The histopathological examination revealed leukocytoclastic vasculitis and p-ANCA positive. Microscopic polyangiitis was diagnosed and was treated with oral steroids at a dose of 1 mg / kg.
