Liposucción en hiperhidrosis axilar (Glandulosucción)

La hiperhidrosis axilar es el aumento excesivo de la producción de sudor por la intensa actividad de las glándulas sudoríparas ecrinas y apocrinas como respuesta a estímulos térmicos o emocionales, y produce en la mayoría de los pacientes molestias laborales y sociales.
La hiperhidrosis axilar tiene tratamiento tópico, oral y quirúrgico, con diferentes resultados y efectos secundarios. Nosotros planteamos como la mejor terapia la liposucción con técnica tumescente, previa evaluación del área a tratar con el test de Minor, por sus excelentes resultados, mínima incapacidad y pocas complicaciones. Describimos la técnica quirúrgica utilizada.
Se llama liposucción la técnica quirúrgica con anestesia tumescente en hiperhidrosis axilar, nombre que no compartimos porque con ella no se succiona tejido graso sino tejido glandular como es el de las glándulas sudoríparas; por lo tanto, sugerimos el término glandulosucción con anestesia tumescente, que describe mejor el procedimiento.
