Abstract

Subungual melanoma is an uncommon tumor, that presents as a longitudinal melanonychia. Diagnosis is made based on the medical record, dermatoscopic findings and biopsy; treatment is always with surgery. We present a case of subungual melanoma and we discuss briefly how to manage patients with longitudinal melanonychia.
