Abstract

Pigmented purpuric lichenoid dermatitis of Gougerot and Blum is an uncommon variant of pigmented purpuric dermatosis. It occurs in young adult males on the lower extremities with a symmetric distribution and difficult treatment. We report a case of a patient with segmental lesions on his trunk, clinical presentation and histology compatible with this disease, who did not improve with topical corticosteroids but he responded well to pentoxifylline.
