Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma

We report an 18 year old girl, who had a congenital solitary brownish macular lesion on the left side of the back. The area had been increasing in diameter over childhood. Then, during puberty, the macular lesion became elevated with bluepurple papules on its surface. The patient presented hyperhidrosis associated. Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma (EAH), is a rare condition characterized histologically by normal epidermis with dermal features of hyperplasic eccrine glands and increased numbers of blood vassels lesions take the form of nodules or plaques, often with a bluish colour and angiomatous appearence, most commonly found in acral skin where eccrine glands are numerous.
