Resumen

La alopecia cicatriza! es la destrucción permanente del folículo piloso, que imposibilita que el pelo vuelva a crecer. Engloba un grupo de enfermeda­ des poco entendidas, que ocasionan como efec­to común el reemplazo de la estructura folicular por tejido fibroso.

En este artículo se revisa información acerca de la cla­ sificación, patogénesis, presentación clínica, diagnóstico y tratamiento de esta enfermedad.
